Let the Change Begin…
Welcome to my Humes Portfolio. My name is Caira Murray and my portfolio’s theme considers the Metamorphosis of Justice. According to Merriam Webster metamorphosis is 1) typically marked and more or less abrupt developmental change. When applying this definition of metamorphosis, it seems as if justice is evolving through isolated and sequential steps. My portfolio argues that justice is an ecosystem that is simultaneously changing in response to external and internal pressures. This semester we have analyzed various works in an array of different formats, all of which connect and trigger one another.
As you navigate through this portfolio, consider the impact of each topic and how they aid the continuous metamorphosis of justice rather than its stagnation. I explored literary fiction, the entwined nature of science and art, playwriting, and even my affinity towards religon. This semester I have put myself through my own form of personal metamorphosis. Through the content of this course I have realized that characteristics of my identity don’t exist separately but as a conglomeration of what made and continues to make me who I am.
