An ecosystem is comprised of many elements, which build onto each other to form spaces for living beings. This multi-media piece is a representation of how I see the concepts that we have learned this semester in humanities building on each other and creating the spaces we inhabit as a society. For this painting, I used acrylic paint, clay, and embroidery.
I first painted the fish and then embroidered its scales with different shades of orange. The lily pads were scored and attached out of clay to the canvass and painted. There are also embroidered details in the 2D lily pads.
